Camping with a 15 week old Pup.

In Febuary 2017 we set off in out first solo trip in Vera with our 15 week old puppy Daisy. Leaving Newcastle early in the morning we travelled to our first stop at Bonny Hills 230km away. We couldn't recommend Reflections Holiday Park Bonny Hills enough. There was everything you could possibly ask for and being right on the cliff provided a great ocean breeze. On either side of the camp ground there are two great surf breaks also.

We made some new friends along the way sharing stories about our love for Volkswagens and the love of camping.

This is Wombat. He is blind but that doesn't stop him.

Next stop Reflections Holiday park at Moonee Beach. 181km further north and we set up very quickly as the rain came to say hello. As this was our first trip we planned each stop to be around the three hour mark so Daisy stuck in the van for too long. Moonee Beach was a great location and just 15minutes walk away from the park was Maggie's Dog Cafe. This was a real treat for us all as they served great coffee and delicious snacks for both humans and animals.

Our next stop was Byron Bay Holiday Park where we met up with Madi's parents. The drive was stunning and kept getting better the closer we got to Byron. it was my first time being there and won't be the last. We spent a lot of time at either at the beach or checking out the abundance of cafes so sadly I don't have any other pictures from out time there.
It was now time to start heading south and for this half of the trip we hadn't planned any of our stops. This lead to some quick searching and this was when I remembered the beautiful location 204kms down the road called Arrawarra Beach Holiday Park. We couldn't have asked for a better spot. and Kim and Paul had the cabin next to where we set up. This was also a brilliant spot to surf.

Next stop 206kms down the road Reflections Holiday Park North Haven. This camp ground offered large powered sites only 300m away from having your feet in the water. You can grab a delicious coffee and bite to eat at Beach Break Cafe and watch the sets coming in. Another brilliant spot just 223km out of Newcastle.
